the making
Our cushion covers are currently produced in three ways.
Patterned Australian Made Cushion Covers
(Including Table & Bed Runners)
The fabrics used in all of our patterned fabric ranges are sourced from all over the globe.
Koosh use an extensive network of suppliers in Europe, The Middle East, U.S.A, Asia and Australia. We source the fabric, import it and then makeup the covers in Melbourne, Australia. All our patterned covers are sewn and overlocked to create the best possible finish and to maximise the longevitiy of all our covers. The Directors of the company quality control every piece!
Imported Cushion Covers
There is a small amount of our product that is imported from overseas. Most of the time it is due to the products finer details, such as beading, sequins, PVC and synthetic finishes that are best made up by our fabric suppliers.
Silk Cushion Covers
These are produced in Bangalore, India by a very reputable and long established supplier who only uses the best silk and dye lots in their creations. All our silk covers are made up in India and shipped to Koosh. They all have care instructions of: Dryclean only. As silk is a natural fibre there will always be slight colour and or texture variations
About Silk
“Indian silk has been popular the world over - for its sheer variety of designs, weaving and quality. This is largly due to the fact that India has the unique distinction of producing different varieties of silk.
There are four main varieties of silk produced by a distinct variety of silkworm feeding on a specific host plant. Silk is a protien fibre, produced by the silkworm for spinning around its cocoon. This fibre (filament) is unwound to obtain silk. Yarn is produced by twisting the fibre, which is then dyed, warped and finally woven to produce fabric.”1
